Seems like one of those things where they're just going with the guy that has experience with the offense for now. Then, I'm sure he'll get beat out in camp. They're just making those guys earn it. IMO. We'll see, though.

Just give me the best of the 3 to start the season. Probably McCarron

Allen has looked good so far, but I don't want to start him this year. It's a bad idea during this lost season, our offensive line is rubbish so we don't want to ruin his career by throwing him in that fire

Allen's lumps will have nothing to do with his learning the pro game. It will have everything to do with the O line's inability of the pro game.

And Peterman will probably get the nod anyway.

Being serious though we might as well have tackling dummies up front, he would have the same amount of time to throw. It would be the worst decision this franchise could make to throw Allen into that mess, he will have to sit this year and then hopefully next year we can get a offensive line that might be better than one in the Canadian football league in front of him.
