25th Packer and 13th from the Lombardi era.

Well deserved. The man out in front of the Packers Sweep and made the most famous block in the history of pro football.

Kramer should have been inducted into the HOF 30 years ago.

I really think the reason he didn't get voted in 30 years ago is because there were too many sports writers who were jealous of his book sales.

I was 6 years old 30 years ago so I'm unaware of this. Would you mind educating me a little?

Jerry Kramer wrote a best selling book, which was his diary of the 1967 season. He subsequently wrote 3 more books that sold well. Sportswriters are the guys who vote on the hall of fame. It was a real joke that a guy who was all pro so many times, was voted the best guard in the history of football, and was voted to the all decade team didn't get a bust in Canton early. It takes 80% yes votes to get into the HOF. It only takes a handful of guys to vote no to prevent someone from getting in. I've long thought that there were a few who were jealous of Kramer's book sales.

Yeah, Instant Replay right? I've heard of it just never read that the writers were jealous. What you explained makes sense though.

What doesn't make sense to me is why its just sports writers who vote on hall of fame. I would think there would be a hall of fame committee made up of different personnel involved in professional football like former players, coaches, GM's, scouts etc.

Regardless of who is in it, there will always be bias.
