It's the only article I could find that focused on Jackson's injury. When you read it, initially you think no problem, minor hurt. But the last line states he was boppin around in a walking boot. I don't know about anyone else, but my take is if EJ isn't 100% ready to go next Sunday, sit him. He's way too valuable to be taking chances here.

Ankle sprain could be no big deal or could put you out a couple months. It all depends on the severity.

I think if he is truly 100% ready AND if the Bears have a shot at getting that first round bye, only under those conditions would I like to see Eddie out there. Otherwise, I'm with you and others in here who are for resting him until the playoffs. It would be great to have that bye, but having him out there at full speed is more important.

Nagy said today that he doesn’t expect Lynch’s elbow to be season ending. He’s no where near as important as Eddie, but I think he is a solid sub. Based on what I was reading yesterday I figured he was done.
