Also, could Seattle target Griffin and reunite the twins?

I FUCKING LOVE THIS PICK!!!

Green has more pass rush skills than run skills, and we spent a TON of free agency capital on run stuffers (Mingo, Johnson, Shepard). We needed pass rush specialists and this is 100% the correct selection. I wanted Arden Key but Key has major character issues... I'll take the lesser physical talent (especially if Key has dropped to the 3rd) to take a more mentally sound DE.

Love it. B+ grade. Green has some injury/medical concerns, but I'll take my chances.

I suppose it isn't a big deal, but it doesn't seem like we got commensurate value with the trade from #76 to #79. All of the other similar trades seemed to get a significantly better pick, and the trade value chart has pick #76 worth 210 draft points, #79 worth 195 Draft Points and #220 worth 3. I think we should have gotten a later 2019 pick, as well.

I don't know much at all about Green, but looking at the highlights it appears he's not just a 5-technique but is able to make plays from inside as well. He seems to bat down lots of passes, too. If Rob Rang had him as the 43rd overall prospect, then it's a pretty decent value pick. Only 20 y/o just like McDowell last year is somewhat interesting if not just coincidental.

I'm good with Dissly. More beef for the run game, and it's always fun to root for UW players at the next level (unless they are jackasses like Jerramy Stevens). Dissly may not be a dynamic receiver, but he's clearly the studliest blocker of the TE class.

Yeehaw, it was a fun weekend/draft. Really like how it ended up for the Hawks overall.

I used logic and recent history......

It did me wrong.

My reasoning for saying that they where keeping a 1st was Earl thomas and Dion Jordan price

I'm really happy with who we drafted. Both Green and Griffin should make an immediate impact for us. I'm hoping we don't rush Penny into the run game until he is ready. Let Carson and get McKissic get the bulk of the carries to start the season. Use Penny in certain situations and on 3rd downs just so he can see what it's like going up against pro defenses.

RBs probably have the easiest time going from college to pro. Penny not much of a blocker, but he can catch and take away a defender from rushing the passer and also be a good outlet for RW if he needs to unload the ball. I want him starting day one. That rookie contract is counting down, got to get full use out of his time before he becomes expensive.
