Solid? Maybe. Randy? Would have to disagree and that isn't a knock on him but Randy was amazing for years. I don't see Woo as an All-Star for years to come and I don't see H.O.F player at all. I think he is on a nice run but hasn't faced teams multiple times yet where they can figure him out then he would have to adjust. That is the real test.
I agree it would take some years with many adjustments along with maturity and growth but the stuff is there. Randy didn't become a HoF over night and the Expos didn't think much of him and got lucky he was traded to us. We'll know in about 5 yrs if Woo is the real deal.

Maybe with Roberts but I'm still suspect with his injury history. Not sure giving up Woo excites me on that front. Alonso if the Mets pay half or all his salary, than more prospects will have to be involved. I'd rather take the contract and give up less prospects.
Just my personal opinion is if Woo were to be involved in a package to the Mets I bet they’d pay most of the salary and not need extra prospects. Prospects are nice and all but getting a young controllable proven big leaguer with one prospect is worth more than getting say a Emerson, Ford, Laz and insert mid tier prospect package

I wouldn't trade Woo for Alonzo or Roberts. Alonzo is a rental so no top guy for him from and Roberts is just too average for a top tier player. Now Robert and Crochet I would do for him but Sox wouldn't.

We should revisit Lane Thomas. He is .217 this year and may now they would deal him. He was .268 with 28 homers and 86 RBIs last year.
