This made sense:

"I saw a [Patriots] defense that wasn't overly talented. It was all really about containing Tom Brady," Johnson said on the Austin podcast. "We had a hard time doing that -- he had 505 yards. But that was really it, man. Going into the game, I'm not going to be shell-shocked by it. That was kind of our thing going in. I think we had the upper hand on that."

It's funny Lane is tired of Arrogance, but arrogantly can't shut his mouth.

For the record the Eagles won giving him all the right to be arrogant, but crying about others sounds like hes jealous the Pat's still get more media attention.

It was pretty much the worst game the defense played all year. They looked lost. Still kind of stunned by it.

Then on the other hand, what good quality offenses (and especially offensive lines) did they play last season?

Also, by and large Doug and the coaching staff last season were very good at taking apart opponents, and keeping them off balance. Note for instance what they did to Denver (back then regarded as one of the better defenses if not the best defense in the league). And one of the biggest differences, IMHO is him not falling into the 'BB-trap' and have his team play scared.

You gotta come stronger than this, haters. I expect references to horse shit eaters, Santa pelters, people cheering as Michael Irvin lay motionless on the turf, McNabb vomit in the SB, etc.

This is WEAK.

Let me try. Lame Johnson's arrogant ass will probably be taking out first game of the season for running his cock suckers, the running game took a step back loosing blount cause ajayi is dumber than a box of rocks, Wentz will never be the same again and if he is he'll not last long with that playing style, best thing the eagles done for the rest of the teams this off season was signing a fucking bennett and lastly the offense isn't going to surprise teams this season. There is that better.

New England will make the playoffs this coming season, Philly will not.

Call Vegas and book it.

Oh I never thought they were a great defense but I thought they were better than what they showed that day.

I'm not saying the offensive approach of the Eagles didn't work wonderfully but I think they were capable of at least one stop in the second half! They did play Pittsburgh and while they didn't shutdown them down they did manage to stop them on enough occasions to sneak/luck out a win.

The only stop the Patriots had in the 2nd half was when they forced the Eagle to kick a field goal!

And that was enough to take the lead! But other than that, completely pathetic. Big disappointment.

More annoying, whiny and insecure: the Eagles players or their fans?

I'll go with the fans. What say you???

I get that the Eagles fans want to cling to the championship and who can blame them, I would too, but last year is over. Once the draft hits everything starts over again. At this point I could care less who won last year. For some reason they think other fans are angry or hung up on last years win, but even a lot of NFC East fans were torn between NE and Philly. This us against the world mentality is ridiculous. Grow some balls...

I wonder if an Eagles team that will have Wentz back next year can compete for the Super Bowl again next yr. They won with Foles, can they do the same with Wentz?
