Don't know about title, but Alabama had a chance in 2005 until the Prothro injury. Whipped the shit outta top5 Florida that game and he shouldn't have even been in the game, but whatever. But never had the same offensive output that season after that and ended up losing 2 games that we should have won.

Losing Eddie Jackson in 2016 was also a pretty big. I don't play that whole we would have won if he had been in the Clemson game thing, everyone has injuries to deal with, but our odds would have increased quite a bit.

And here's a flip one. If Mark Barron doesn't get hurt right before halftime in the 2010 Iron Bowl, Auburn doesn't win that title that year.

I really don't know why he was allowed to play the 2nd half, but it was a big factor in Auburn's comeback that game.

Hell, we almost won anyway. Bobby should have given the Rooster
a bit more leeway in that game. Tenn put 9 in the box, the entire
game. If we would have thrown more early. they would have had
to back some folks out of there which would open up our running game.

Even if we threw incompletions they would still have had to respect the
pass and put only 7 in the box.
