They’re both amazing.

Machado at 3B is incredible.

Nats should just sign both this winter and let Gio and Murphy walk.

Maybe the Nats told Bryce that Papelbon was going to come back and choke him out if he didn't start getting some hits...

.337/.440/.675 since the ASB. He's cutting down on the K's this month too (22% after striking out over 30% in June and July)

Put a dollar amount on it

$300 mill max?

Him or Machado, who gets more?

And I guess the massive marketability plays into Bryce

Machado's marketability to the Marlins would be off the charts.

Jeter is pinching pennies now to make that big move.

I think both get 300m though.

I will say this, if I'm the Marlins.

I go for both.

You wanna rebuild trust?

Add 12-15 wins with 2 signings of guys just hitting their power peak.

Two of the 10-15 best players on planet earth.

If you still suck, you can always trade Realmuto and the relivers for more prospects. Those guys are so young as FAs you do have some time.

It would be a REALLY interesting experience.

Also, the Rays have the money to make a play for one of these guys right now.

Rays would be an interesting landing spot. They've got a lot of young talent too.

Doesn't this put them back in the same Pickle they were in with Stanton? They seem to not be able to draw fans no matter who they field out there

I have heard this Phillies owner is serious about signing both

I know they won't.

But I think it would be fun to see.

I would love that idea for Philly and it would be a lot more plausible had they been patient and not wasted money on Santana this winter.

Do the Nats even come in with a serious attempt? If not, not considering trade offers this summer seems pretty assinine

So, if you're running the MLB franchise that's tied with the lowest revenue in the league, you're going to hand out the two largest free agent contracts ever?

You wouldn't be running the Marlins for long.

It's very possible the Nats would be the highest bidder. ]

They are the team that really should consider both Machado and Harper.

Move Rendon to 2B.

The money you save from Murphy and Gio Gonzalez already gets you pretty close to there.

You're playing fantasy baseball too, Nava?

The Rays highest payroll ever is around $75MM. They're not going to spend $30-40MM a year on one player.
