His job is to get left handed hitters out. He isn't doing it. Since June 1st of last season, over a period of 49 games, he has a 7.47 ERA and a whopping 2.09 WHIP.

It's not like this team is hurting for guys to fill the situational lefty role. They have Pazos and LeBlanc. And Dario Alvarez is looking good for the Rainiers. Time to cut Rip loose. He looks like shit.

I was gonna say if you looked at Pazos numbers within the same time frame I’m sure they are similarly bad

Our pen is not what all the hype during ST was telling us. As far as I am concerned the pen is almost the same as last season, maybe with the exception of Diaz who seems to be a bit more consistent this season....so far anyway.

The Mariners management has a tendency to put the damper on players more often than not.
