How has Mercer looked?

looking at his stats, he doesnt look as overmatched as last year.
i havent seen any tape of him, but no errors and some XBH in 3 games.
K rate around same as most of the team.

seems like he should get better with more reps.

maybe we might have someone that is at least an upgrade from barmes in the system for later this year and certainly next if we cant trade for a AAA, ready to play SS like that guy for the brewers,

Saw Mercer over the weekend against the Mets, and he looks competent in field and at the plate.

It appears he will go back down today cause Clint refuses to play him over Barmes, it would be nice if Clint was smart enough to get him in the lineup 2-3 times per week, and they could cut McDonald, but that seems to be too much effort.

"I think one of the questions at the end of the day, you have to ask yourself, do you want Jordy Mercer up here as an extra man, or do you want to continue to try to develop him as a shortstop?" Hurdle said. "If another opportunity presents [itself] you can always go get him."
