You guys see the article about the play where Honey Badger threw the 49er on the ground after he crossed the goal line? Obvious penalty and obviously out of frustration more than any intent to hurt the guy. But some media types felt it necessary to write an entire article about classless it was, reference his past, and how he needs to clean it up a bit.

RIDICULOUS! Just a reminder to Matthieu...the media nerds are waiting for you to slip. They are right outside the door, frothing at the mouth. You've played great and off the field been fantastic. You haven't given them that arrest they've been begging for so they are getting desperate.

The same writer might have written about how classes thousands of 49ers fans were to do the wave while Calais Campbell was being put on a stretcher.

I saw the play and it was nothing more than a love tap. The NFL is so pathetic in their penalties nowadays its just sad.

Plays like that happen a few times every Sunday. Taking that play out of context makes it seem worse than it was. Is it any worse than a guy who advocates punching(Boone) players on field actually taking a swing at a player on the same play? Or after doing so, gets a boot to the grill as compensation for such action, then starts whining like a bitch "that he kicked me in the fucking face"?

The media likes create news instead reporting news anymore.

This perfectly summarizes how the media feel towards him. Mathieu has done all of the right things so far this season. That play was no more than an act of frustration that most NFL players have displayed at some point in their careers.

Seriously though, it's the media. They'll do whatever it takes to create something out of nothing...

Great thoughts, Johnson. Coming from an LSU fan, I am proud of how he has cleaned up his act! I obviously wasn't a fan of his actions and knew it was coming as soon as he went for the tackle. A little uncalled for but these things do tend to happen in the heat of battle. He actually looked fired up all game which was exciting to see!

Pathetic article. There was no intent to hurt.
