Heard something encouraging on last night's game broadcast

The announcers were saying that, as of last night's victory, there have been twenty-five games in all of the NHL so far this season where a team has held their opponent to less than 20 shots on goal - and Minny has notched five of them.

Sounds like our defense is getting the job done.

even the penalty kill is coming around. Still need more pucks in the net though. Pomer and Granlund are gelling pretty nicely but our top line needs to start producing.

It is very encouraging. The last few games have seen some good goal scoring as well, with the second Blackhawks game being the exception.

If guys like Heater and Koivu can get going this is a tough team. Stingy allowing shots, good goal tending and generate good chances. Games where they have looke bad are minimal. The lack of consistent scoring(top line forsure as mentioned) makes games like last Mondays look worse than they were.

Definitely a lot of positives to build off here as goals start to come. Hopefully some road consistency will come too. Only 2-3-1 on road so far. Small sample.
