Why does Pistol Pete get mentioned here?

Fun to watch and super flashy. Great player, but also very overrated. His career best PER was 20.5. He only made 5 all star teams and played a total 26 playoff games.

He was an all time great college player, not an all time great pro.

Because all of Harden's 10+ offensive win share seasons have come in Houston. He had exactly 1 season there with another great player on his team. Meanwhile, Kobe had Shaq and many others better than Harden's second best running mate. Way to single out Kobe's worst team season to make it look like Harden has a better supporting cast.

Harden's teams have won more than 55 games exactly once. Kobe's teams have won more than 55 games 8 times.

I think it is hysterical that you are using the "better team" argument to explain why Harden has more offensive winshares.

Kobe has been on many superior teams.
