Machado does not want to be traded to a second tier team. He will not resign with a team that has no chance of winning a title. Hence the Yankees are interested and sitting back, the Red Sox have contacted the Orioles because they've had to bring up a triple A players because they lost Rafael Devers to imjury. Houston has a monster minor league and could offer more than anyone.
