Me, a good friend and my Brothers in a pay league that is drafting on Sunday Night. The Draft Order for it got announced today and i got Boned 16 out of 16.

Here inlies my question. I always go Goalie high (just think it's can make a break a team).

Im looking at 3 guys at 16. Igor Shesterkin(Rangers and 18th overall on Yahoo), Jake Oettinger (Stars and 22nd) or Alexandar Georgiev (Avalanche and 29th)

Who should i target?

What are the rules of the league?

I did one for a few years where Average Minutes Per Game was a cat. For something like that you load up on Dmen.
Most leagues the strategy is to get the top end Goalies, they account for half your points. Especially in a Roto league.

I dropped fantasy hockey many moons ago.
Me too. But like OBX mentioned, depending on the scoring categories (and if there are game limits for wingers and defensemen), I would grab scoring D and elite goalies first and round out the rest of the roster with centers and wingers.

That is how I usually played it. Always wanted power play defensemen early and often. Never had game limits though.

Wingers are like WR… in a pinch, they’re the best to punt and throw a dart at waivers.

Centers need to be carefully approached. Getting the top tiers is a tough choice to make over goalies.

I know but i've had team broken by bad goaltending before....

Going to look at predictions for the season and use that as my judge.
