QB's need to know the entire playbook. Too late at this point imo to change teams for a QB and be effective. Not sure we'd get enough value in return anyhoo to make it worth our while. Might as well keep Foles around just in case.

You hope your backup CJ Beathard can come through. It would take Foles a few weeks to even learn the system well enough to get in there; they may already be 1-5 before Foles even sees the field if Beathard stinks it up. How much would they even give up for Foles who's a free agent after this season? A 6th at best? I'd rather just keep Foles as insurance for that kind of compensation.

Unless a team is willing to give up a high pick, they will wait and get a high comp pick for next year's draft - either a 3rd or 4th round pick. It's worth to wait rather than give him u[p for a mediocre pick now.

Agreed. It’s not a pleasant situation for the niners to be in. There is not much value on bringing a guy in at this point to wait for him to get up to speed.

I don’t see having to depend on Beatherd to be giving up...it’s just the “tallest dwarf” solution to this mess.

I’m sure they make a call....likely over to us. I just don’t see any way our asking price to part with Foles at this point is one they would be willing to pay.

To Dukes point....we stand to make a decent comp pick if Nick walks after this season. Worth it to wait.
