What's the chances of Roger Federer winning another Grand Slam before he hangs up his racquet? He's been my favorite tennis player for a long time and I'd love to see him add to his record before he retires.

Almost zero chance, so I voted no.

Sampras was able eke out one more at his age because of a pretty weak field. Fed doesn't have that luxury right now.

I didn't think Sampras would win another before he retired, but he pulled off one final US Open, so I guess anything is possible.

What does it mean to get "ninja'd"? Does it mean to not be the first to reply to a new thread?

Very very slim. He would need almost all the breaks to go his way

Could we possibly see a Federer vs Nadal final like we did when Sampras and Agassi faced off for one last Grand Slam title in the US Open back in the day? I'd love to see that...as long as Federer won! haha. The draw and results are shaping up nicely for this to possibly happen.

I was just looking at the draws. Federer v Nadal and Venus vs Serena in the final could be a throwback to the old days that I could get behind.

means the someone already said the same exact thing as me about Sampras. My fault for not reading the entire thread of 2 posts.

Thanks for explaining. I hadn't seen that term used before.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that for a few days.

The only time we had FED vs. Nadal and Venus vs. Serena was during 2008 Wimbledon.

I don't think Nadal matches up with Raonic anymore, though. Raonic will have to have a bunch of errors for Nadal to win.

Good name, but have to see who is in the Finals.

If Raonic, Wawrinka, or Tsonga make it, wouldn't be as fitting.

Besides, it's probably not that long ago when Venus, Serena, Roger, and Nadal all made the QF of a major.

Ok, I'll look it up.

If it weren't for a Federer loss to Seppi, that would have been the 2015 AO.

So, I guess it's the 2010 USO.

I'm just saying, if all 4 make the SF, then it would be a better name. But even then, if a few don't make the Finals, then it would be temporary.

Federer vs Nadal! I've wanted at least one more of these matchups in a Grand Slam final, a la Sampras vs Agassi in the US Open finals in '02 I think it was. Anyway, I sure hope Federer wins but it's nice to see this rematch of one of the best rivalries of all-time for at least one more time!

I think it will be a great match! I have never been a Nadal fan, but I am sure happy to see him in a final. I would be happy with either winning, but I want to see an epic match more than anything else.

Sure the Fed-Nole and Rafa-Nike rivalries are closer, but they are pale in luster compared to the Fedal rivalry. This is the blockbuster rivalry in all of tennis regardless of h2h. I will stop watching/following tennis for a long time (I have semi stopped watching already) when these two hang up. They have eclipsed the Borg-Mac, Becker- Lendl, and Pete-Agassi in terms of sheer global interest in tennis that relates to these two.

I would love to see Federer win but wont be upset if Rafa comes out on top. I like both players and like I said in another thread, I want Federer to win mainly to make it more difficult for Djokovic to reach the all-time Grand Slam record. I don't care for him much but respect his ability and the fact that he is a great player.
