I'm probably older than most posters here, having moved to Boston back in Dave Cowens's rookie year.

Cowens would have to be near the top of my personal list, but so would Paul Silas, who was
one of the best rebounders I've ever watched play. Always had a fondness for rebounders, FYI.

Remember, this is supposed to be limited to people you've watched live, not just read about.

Why I didn't include Bird on my own list I wish I knew.

Cedric Maxwell was another I liked more than most. More than McHale even. Possibly because he got less publicity than Kevin. Too much publicity is a turn-off for me.
