Why is Erik Johnson not pitching for us on Friday? He's our top pitching prospect and coming off a great game. Leesman is fringe at best and yet another lefty. Rienzo made sense only in that EJ was coming off missing a short spell and a game where he was rusty. But now he'd have been pitching on 5 days rest and is healthy. Makes no sense.
On a related note, may I comment on what a joke the Sox beat reporters are. They had speculated Johnson. So when Leesman was announced they all reported it and not one had a take as to why not EJ. They are as bland as bland gets. Sharp contrast to the Bulls with Smith and KC who are both great and have OPINIONS.
