Ideally, the draft pans out like this for us: (secure those trenches in the 1st 4 picks)

21 Billy Price, C
46 Will Hernandez, G
77 Tim Settle, DT
100 Orlando Brown, T
112 Genard Avery, ILB
151 Godwin Igwebuike, FS
158 Kyle Lauletta, QB
170 Shaquem Griffin, OLB
249 Javon Wims, WR
252 Jordan Thomas, TE
253 JC Jackson, CB

New Offensive Line:

LT Cordy Glenn
LG Clint Boling
C Billy Price
RG Will Hernandez
RT Orlando Brown

Three rookies on the line would be difficult. Road games would be a disaster. A lot of talent on that proposed line though.

3 rookies on that line is not going to be any worse than last year! Especially since all 3 are capable of benching trucks. Can you imagine Joe Mixon running behind big 345 Orlando Brown, maybe the strongest guy in the draft with the biggest mean streak in Hernandez and a mauler at C who takes charge and can move laterally?

Umm.... Lets draft the guys before it's time for me to imagine it.

BTW - I heard you can bench more than Brown.

How disappointed are you gonna be when they pick a CB or S?

praying we'll take one of the many DTs available, but we'll take a DB.

A Buckeye and a DB. About as bengals as you can get so far.

Back to back third rounders. I think one of these needs to be Orlando Brown...

Can't say I disagreed with the trade to move back. If there is nobody that you are truly targeting, might as well get more value the next round.

I'm not sure if I can get excited about a defensive end that is not very explosive or an athlete that doesn't really play linebacker all that well, but I guess this is why these guys aren't first rounders.

at least we didn't draft a kicker.

Hey! Can we get Jordan Palmer back? That way we don't have to waste a pick on a QB. ha ha, you know it's coming.

Vegas has the O/U on wins at 5.5 this year - tied for the lowest in the league. What were you planning on getting excited about?

It's clear we're not interested in addressing true needs during the draft. We're going to ride Geno until dies, continue to roll the dice on 'Tez playing 10 games a year, and continue to throw shit at the wall when it comes to drafting DBs.

Today I'm looking forward to whatever TE we draft, and then a QB who will never see the field.

From CBS

CIN.png
77. Sam Hubbard, DE, Ohio State

Grade: B-

He's a try-hard player who is good value in this spot. Will help the pass rush

CIN.png
78. Malik Jefferson, LB, Texas

Grade: C

He looks the part, but the production wasn't there. He never lived up to his high-school hype.

Cincinnati Bengals
Draft picks: Ohio State C/OG Billy Price (No. 21 overall), Wake Forest S Jessie Bates(No. 54 overall), Ohio State DE Sam Hubbard (No. 77 overall), Texas LB Malik Jefferson(No. 78 overall).
Day 1 grade: B
Day 2 grade: A
Overall grade: B+
The skinny: Picking up Cordy Glenn from the Bills for a move down of 10 spots in the first round will help their offensive line, so that needs to be considered here. Selecting Price, a center/guard, continues the Bengals' effort to get stronger up front, though I think there could have been more of a difference-maker selected here. The Bengals could have waited and landed a very good interior offensive lineman in the second or third round. The Bengals picked up an extra third-round pick by moving down a few spots in Round 2. Their back-to-back third-rounders -- Hubbard and Jefferson -- beef up their front seven. The games of both guys weren't loved by scouts, but in the third round, these picks make sense. Jefferson could be a particularly good value if everything comes together as he matures

Well there it is. A running back that has had ankle surgery.

The Bengals draft recipe holding strong.
