Collins and Price.
Not sure Tapper makes the cut if we draft anyone. I don't even think about Gregory until he is reinstated but he certainly could be productive in a specialty roll on 3rd down

Until he passes a piss test, he is a bust in every imaginable scenario of that word.

So my ideal, quasi-realistic choices:

1: Vea. I don't think he reaches us but it is too good a fit

2: McGlinchey. Bump Collins to guard and have Fleming as a swing, Dak and Zeke can do whatever they want with that line in front of them. Also insurance post Tyron.

3: Evans. If Lee is healthy and Jaylon takes the next step and becomes a game changer, Evans makes this the best line backing corps in the league.

This sounds like they are prepping the fans for a first round let down, as in trade away the first for a later first and then a third. Seventeen sounds too close to nineteen, but just to make sure, take away one so that it doesn't look too suspicious.

It's either that or prepping fans for trading away the second to move up for a higher first round pick.

Personally, I think both of those would be bad moves. I wouldn't mind giving up a third to move up a couple of spots to get someone they are sure will be picked just ahead of them, but to give up a second would be too costly, IMO.

Earl Thomas will take a minimum of a 2nd round pick. I would rather use that pick to trade up for Derwin James. James is going to be a future all-pro.

Only 17 first round graded players - meaning there are more than enough for one to fall to us once you factor in that not all 5 QBs that will get picked we have graded as 1st rounders. TBH - if we are really in love with both LVE and DJ Moore, 19 is probably a little too rich for either, but would certainly land you your choice. Depending on who will give you picks to move into your slot, you might end up missing out on both if you move back to the late 20s (like we did with Fred). I think stay at 19 and pick your guy.

There are several ways to skin a cat. Ridley is clearly the best receiver. That USC linebacker is impressive. We could easily convert awuzie to safety and he would Excell where byron didnt. Awuzie does not avoid contact and seems to like to lower the boom. We could then grab the best corner available at 19. We could trade up for Vea or James. It's could get crazy

My theory has always been if you LOVE a guy you take him and don't risk losing him and you sure as heck don't worry about how the pick is viewed by the Mel Kiper "experts" of the World. I don't buy 19 is too rich for either if they like them enough. Throw out every mock draft ever because they miss the mark more often than not. It only takes one team to think a guy is worth picking and you lose out. I trade back under two circumstances. The first is there is just no one you like enough to pick when on the clock. The second is you trade back fewer spots than the # of players you like about the same. So if you have 4 guys you are looking at you trade back no further than 3 spots to ensure you get one.

I can't wait till after this weekend. No more Kiper and his ilk on TV. My head hurts from seeing these stupid mock drafts for the last 3 months. Tomorrow can't get here fast enough. How many can't miss busts have Kiper and his ilk had over the years lol

So if we are looking for a WR to be a red zone target and do a lot of the things we expected from Dez and make plays on all 3 levels does that make Sutton a target?

I'm happy with this pick. Huge need and the war room was ecstatic so this is the guy they wanted.

Prefer Evans or DJ Moore. Worried about his inury. It fills a need.

I'm concerned about the injury too, but good to hear the Cowboy guys say they gave him a physical again today to check on it again. So the team seems to feel it's OK

Yes the injury is a concern, the talent in the the player is not.

O expect a WR in rd 2.
If Hurst slips to 50 I would love to land the DT.
(Although I dont think Hurst is even on the Cowboys radar honestly)
