Im with you here ... also afraid that Acquilini might overextend himself esp if the dollar heads for the crapper

as a vancouver sports fan ... and trying to be more diplomatic than usual ... I just dont need it ... sure acquilini wants the extra 41 dates for his arena but for me ... meh ... been there done that

that's a good point too. It was the push for the Grizzlies that ultimately cost the Griffiths family ownership of the Canucks.
I'm not sure how long they could have held out in a billionaire's game, but the Grizz was the nail in coffin.

What's the point? The Raptors are a perfect example of why it doesn't work up here. NBA players don't want to play in Canada. They would be another team getting good draft picks, having those players become superstars, just in time to become FA's. No thanks. Vancouver isn't a training ground.
