Reading some rumors that Tuffy is out for the season, but I wasn't able to substantiate them?

To me he isn't the type of caliber player to bring us into the playoffs, nor is his immediate replacement.

Just my 2¢ anyway.

Ahmed has really turned it on after that slump to begin the year. Our up and comers are really starting to shape out. What happens to trumbo when lamb returns?

Do we try calling up Peter O'brien? He is raking in triple A! 11 home runs and 45 RBIs in 44 games.

What was up with all those HRs with the roof open yesterday. It seemed liked almost anything hit hard in the air was a HR.

RDLR had a decent start yesterday. If it weren't for those 2 HRs he gave up, it would have been a very good start.

I am still not a fan of having Ziegler as the closer. He just doesn't have the "stuff" to close out games & is better suited to be a middle reliever or stopper who comes in to get outs in a tough situation. Unfortunately, injuries & ineffectiveness by other relievers, Hernandez, Stites, Marshall, & Reed, have made it necessary to put Ziegler in the closer role. Hopefully Hernandez can come back strong & assume that role quickly.

Salty is terrible. He just is. By the end of June, I have a feeling he won't be on this team or will be platooning with Hernadez till O'Brien is ready.

Anyways, lets hope we can get the sweep this weekend & end the road trip 3-3.

Hopefully Hellickson can extend his trend of good starts to 3 games. Salty was so terrible in his first game as a Dback, that they have him riding the pine already.

Godly just blows my mind! He is seriously the most underrated player in baseball!

Would he accept an invitation to participate in the home run derby. I would prefer he not but it would be a nice coming out party for some of the skeptics. He is shoo-in for starter at the allstar game.

Another all-around good win on Saturday. Good pitching from Hellickson & great hitting from Goldy. Now it's time for the sweep.


As much as I would enjoy seeing Goldy club home runs in the derby, I don't want him to enter. Too often guys come out of the derby with a fucked up swing that takes a few weeks correct. I'll settle with him & Pollock both being on the all-star team.
