Upon leaving for the dugout following a four-pitch walk, Daniel Stumpf bumped manager Ron Gardenhire on his way off the mound. The news story on yesterday's game quoted Gardenhire as saying, "that's the only thing he hit all day."

How soon can the Tigers trade Liriano, Fier, Greene, Iglesias, Wilson, and any other player who even looks remotely like he could help another team? I'd hate to see Detroit mess up their rebuilding program by finishing second or third in the central and getting like the 15th pick in the 2019 draft. I'd like to see Buck Farmer taking regular turns in the rotation along with some other non-descript starter from AAA. "Kozmo" at SS, "Shemp" trying to close games, Reyes in a platoon situation in LF....etc.

Can they still lose 100?

The bullpen will wear down at some point. Detroit already has the #1 and #2 relievers in the league for appearances (Jimenez and Stumpf).

I'd like to see Farmer play for a different franchise.

Fucker doesn't even look at the plate as he delivers.

He's awful. Really don't know how they've let him stick around for years. No out pitch.

Throws 95-96 MPH, but it's flat and hittable. And can't spot his breaking stuff. Pretty much useless unless (as Iffy suggests) you are trying to tank the season.

He literally doesn't see where he is throwing at the moment of delivery.

I could tolerate AlAl and Ryan Perry easier.

Tigers promote 26-year old infielder Ronny Rodriguez to the big league club, and demote Grayson Greiner. Rodriguez was hitting .318 in Toledo with 8 homers and 35 RBI. Last year in Columbus (Indians AAA team), he hit .291 with 17 homers. Don't know anything about his defense, but he's primarily a shortstop. Could eventually make Iggy expendable in a July trade. Gotta hope Iggy continues to hit like he has this month, to up his value a bit.

26 years old ... first Major League Stint ... I can't think the D is too good (but I don't know) ... Could be close to the end for Iggy ...

The Tigers seem to have enough young guys guys around that can play any position. I don't see the need to keep Iggy and VMart around. We have seen enough of them and just hoping you might get two bags of balls instead of one certainly is not in the interest of the team.

Vmart's gotta go, but Iggy has some value!!

That was my hunch, too, because it looks like he's hit with decent power in the minors for a middle infielder. Having really good infielders ahead of him in Cleveland didn't help his chances of a call-up either, I'm sure.

Hey, Ronny has two hits in his major league debut today. Victor Reyes with a double and a triple. Castellanos with another 3 hits (after 3 last night). The Tigers started a very young lineup today (no Victor, no Iggy) and lead 6-1 after six innings.

Or maybe Brady Singer or Joey Bart, I always wanted a catcher with a big bat.
