Not a huge DeShon Elliott fan but I was pretty surprised he was still sitting around at this stage.
Yeah... can't argue with that value.

I noticed that no one seems to be a fan of him.

There seems to be a 'he just got lucky' camp with him but I like what he brings to the table. I drafted him on the Chiefs because they have some formations where Daniel Sorensen is playing in the box against the run and thats just daft. Chiefs also had a huge TE coverage issue when Eric Berry got hurt. They tried to cover Jared Cook with Eric Murray and the Raiders played pitch and catch all day.

Elliott is physical, and big and will be a good special teams player. He should have stayed in school, IMO he had a lot to come back for. Just don't put him in man to man and let him do what he does best. If you draft him know what type of player he is and use him correctly. He won't be great, but he can be good. I have him as an early rd 5 guy. He's got great work ethic I hear.

I like him as a 3rd rounder obviously. Put him in zone and let him make plays. Great measurables in terms of arm length, size and hand size.

L4th is the very earliest I can go with him. 5th round is where I'd really like him as a team. Some have him as a 6th. I value him a bit better then that.

Walterfootball has him in the back end of the 3rd.
CBS has him as the 93rd overall prospect.
I think last I checked Mayock had him 6th or 7th overall at the Safety position which is consistent with CBS
NFL dotcom has a 4th-5th round grade on him.

Late 3rd-Early 4th seems to be the most common range I can tell. I can find some Texas homers on Youtube who were thinking rd2 before this whole process started but I can't see that happening at all.

His national grade is round 4-6.. I don't like the back end of that. Round 4-5 seems more fair to me. He is a hard prospect to gage his draft stock that is for sure.

Like I said I've got him as an early 5th. Not a big fan of Walter or CBS projections but like anyone else, the draft is oh so very hard to judge.

He was given a 4th round grade when he declared. He didn't really test bad. I don't think anyone was really expecting him to run under a 4.6 and he ran 4.58.

I think the thing that will get him out of day 2 is he struggles when he is isolated in coverage. It really depends on what a team thinks they can work with him on and fit him in on. He will never be good in coverage IMO, but he is very physical and will be a great fit on the right team. Ill say one of those good organization nabs him at the back end of round 4 and he has a long NFL career as a run support/physical safety who ya better not isolate in coverage.

He's a bum! But not a bad pick in the 6th round at all.

My bad. I thought I texted @Nosferatu before I went to bed last night and see that I did not.

Might be a slight hold up this morning as he is either on west coast time or not a morning person. ;)

Remember Round 7 is 4 hour time limit.

Yo DC, the Eagles have pick 250. They traded it to the Seashells then they traded for it back.

Just between the Pats, Eagles, and Seahawks lol.

Was the Eagles original pick, went in the deal where Matt Tobin went to Seattle, then Seattle traded it to the Pats for Justin Coleman, then the Pats traded it back to Seattle in the Cassius Marsh deal, then Seattle sent it back to Philly again in the Michael Bennett deal.
