If Posey is down for a week, they won't make moves like you are suggesting. Temporary fills are usually guys bouncing two levels as filler. For example, when the RiverCats had two of their three (at the time) catchers, they brought up Tanner Murphy for back up purposes until one got activated. If the Giants do bring up Garcia, they will probably bump up Parra from Augusta or maybe a rookie league catcher. Bart's promotion will require some more permanent moves.
I guess we know who starts tomorrow.
Apparently they still aren’t sure, or at least they making it seem like they don’t know. During the pregame show, they mentioned that Blach will likely start, unless he is used today.
Oh. I see. So Kelly will be used in long relief unless Blach gets used in relief, in which case Kelly could start.
That’s my guess. I think tomorrow will be a Johnny Wholestaff game, so they needed someone with some innings in his arm, that’s why they went with Kelly over Rogers or Law or one of the O’s.

It is frustrating but I hear that it is very mild. Seems like a good time to activate Hunter Strickland move Pablo Sandoval to the 60 day disabled list.
I am not certain my dates are 100% accurate, but I don’t think Strick is eligible to come off until Saturday.
