I gotta say, this piece was not a DGB classic. Perhaps the enigamatic Russian is a tired cliche, but there's no doubt that NHL GM's are shying away from drafting Russians because of the flight risk to the KHL. As jstew has pointed in other threads, the amount of Russians players actually toiling in the NHL continues to follow a downward trend. DGB also ignored how the delay in Kovalchuk's decision possibly impacted their Devils draft as well as their delay in making any free agency transactions.
