Biggest fight in mma history imo. Nate Diaz storming off when it was announced was hilarious
I don't really have much excitement for this. Conor has been away so long that it takes away a lot of intrigue for me. If Conor were still fighting regularly in UFC like he was a couple of years ago at his peak, then sure, this would be amazing. But now I have no idea if the dude still has it or not. And if he does, would it take a fight or two to get sharp again. With all that time off, I just don't care as much.
Worst fight for Connor, Khabib by tko.
Well its hard to count out McGregor, but I do agree that all that time off is concerning. Who knows what sort of fighting shape Connor will be in. And Khabib is in his prime. If this goes the distance then Connor's conditioning is going to be his downfall. I could easily see Khabib taking him to the mat & ending it in Rd 3.
McGregor is the type of fighter that lives for the challenge though. Its what drives & motivates him. I don't think he would have taken this fight if he didn't think he could rise to the occasion. I guarantee it will be an entertaining fight. Someone is probably going to get knocked the f*ck out.
I have to give McGregor credit for accepting the fight. Khabib's wrestling skills are on a different level. If McGregor doesn't get a quick KO I think Khabib will control the fight with relentless takedowns and GnP. Mendes took McGregor down and Khabib is a lot bigger and stronger.
When Connor fought Alvarez i really thought Eddie was going to play to his strength and wrestle him. Nick wanted to bang with Connor when he could have easily submitted him both matches (nick is a dumbass but i thought he wont the second fight as well). Khabib always plays to his strengths. Hes mauled everyone. Connor is going to get the living shit beat out him. This is an easy RL bet for some $. Khabib by first round TKO.
Tickets sold out in 3 minutes. The fight is going to be huge but weird there has been no promotion yet
Conor will have a punchers chance throughout the fight. He throws such heavy hands he can knock anyone out at any time if he connects. That said, I don’t see Khabib being stupid enough to stand and box with Conor. He’ll look to to tie him up and get him to the ground where Conor knows only enough to be able to get up but it won’t be enough. Conor is going to come hard and fast early on. If he doesn’t get it done, and I don’t think he will, Khabib will dominate him.
