Well Travis Fredrick was a 3rd round grade and so we should expect the exact Same results right?

The Lions are infatuated with Centers from Arkansas. Let’s hope this one is better than Travis Swanson

Guy signs nobody in free agency.
27th ranked defense last year.
Drafts offensive center with premium pick.

Lovely.

It wasn't a running back. They didn't trade up for him. Not a receiver or a tight end. Not a backup QB. Not from Syracuse.

Egh. This went better than expected.

Watch though, second round they'll hit on one of the "targets" I listed.

Sorry, guys. Hopefully the lions can get their head out of their ass and actually make some good moves to compete in the division. My bears have been awful, but this offseason looks like a turning point. The lions aren’t far around the corner, I’m sure. At least you aren’t drafting a wr first every year, right? Who knows? Maybe this guy could transform your run game....

I'm just glad to see it was on the line. Let's see who Quinn and company thinks will be the best additions. I don't think a RB is out of the question in round 2, but I'd rather see D-line. As the lines improve, the rest of the team benefits.

I'm okay with the pick. Position needed, none of the other players were can't misses. Plenty of d linemen left. Now if they draft a WR, TE, or even RB with the 2nd pick I'll be pissed.

The perfect pick. I literally jumped out of my recliner in joy (I had predicted they take a C)

He was going 21st to Cincinnati or 23 to New England.

Gotta have a bad ass oline. This dude is a stud.

RB and defense tonight.

Pats were taking him with one of their 2 picks so it was now or never. I like the guy but was hoping he would fall. Apparently his good combine was not going to allow for that. I hope this moves Glasgow back to G. I am not super comfortable with him at C.

As far as a 3rd round grade no way. Not sure what you are smoking.

Yeah, I will give them credit for not taking a tight end in the first round.

Doesn't matter if the Pats were taking him or not. It is not like the Pats are drafting savant's or anything. They have had a shit ton of draft busts over the years, so trusting their board is not wise. They were lucky they got the GOAT in the 6th round and ARGUABLY the GOAT TE. Other than that, a lot of those teams were built by crafty free agent signings.

I dont disagree. It has nothing to do with that though. Just saying he was not going to fall to us in round 2 so if we wanted him then it was going to have be round 1.

I know little about him, but I hate taking a C in the first round.

Not only was he not going to fall to the 2nd round, he wasn't going to fall to the Pats at #23. Cincy was taking him at #21, and they were pissed we stole him.

Having said that, our defensive front sucks and we're going to have significant problems if that issue isn't addressed today.

Im gonna dislike it if we go offense tonight.

I won't scream about it. I'll just know Quin is as dumb as his predecessors. Which Im already mostly convinced of.

Gone are the days this franchise could piss me off during the spring.

Not real flashy but C position was an ok place to start, yeah maybe not first round but whatever, we haven’t exactly had a serviceable center or O line since Raiola “retired” . JFYI for future ref the draft offers handicap parking right up front...
