Oh look, a big game at home with an AHL goalie in the opposing net and the Flames are screwing the pooch.

Well, the Flames won the Corsi battle, but lost 5-2. That's Glue Glen hockey in a nutshell.

Is it true the first round pick in the Hamonic deal is not lottery protected? The Isles had tons of incentive tonight if so.

About bloody time - Could be too little, too late.

Kristen Anderson @KdotAnderson
Gulutzan is emphasizing teaching this morning. Stopping every drill: "How are we starting the game tomorrow?"

Roger Millions @RogMillions
Coach Glen Gulutzan is more than a little crusty this am. Not stick throwing crusty..but some colourful language and lots of it. “How are we going to start the game tomorrow” he asks...

Jermain Franklin @TSNJFranklin
Gulutzan calmly gives his players the business about playing the right way... filled with expletives. Stopped the drill to do it. Tense times in #Flames land.

Why hasn't he tried the train trip with beer trick yet??

I'm wondering why he hasn't gone to wearing whites at home, can't the home team dictate what jersey they are wearing? Seeing that they're a great road team and a terrible home team, that would seem to be a logical move.

Stolen from reddit:

Gully to coach 2018 Reindeer Games --> Keeps putting Blitzen in front, Rudolph in back --> Sleigh crashes, Christmas cancelled.

"We just weren't ready to go tonight."

Says Friedge:

12. Word out of the GM meetings is Calgary GM Brad Treliving will look to add a first-round pick in this year’s draft. The Flames traded their 2018 selection to the Islanders in the Travis Hamonic deal, and will try to replace it. That would likely mean a major move, but the way this season is ending necessitates something big.

Yes, when I look at the Flames’ play I say to myself “what this team needs is a mid-round talent in 3 or 4 years. That’ll do the trick!”.

Hey now, it only took 25 years for the Flames to make their last two Stanley Cup Finals appearances (1989 to 2004). See you in 2029.

/They might be playing in Houston by then.
