I dont think dipietro is a better prospect but then again i dont think demko is head and shoulders superior to dipietro. Of course demko is a couple years ahead of him. But Dmen have more value than goalies and Demko hasnt proven anything in the nhl ... yet he has value. So im ok with turning that goalie value in for a position player with some skill.

If Dipietro flounders they can still find a goalie prospect after the 3rd round of the draft. At this stage, canucks need as much top level talent on d and forward, not goalie imo.

All this is moot though because it sounds like canes would want the 7th plus a demko for hanifin. No way to that thanks! Canucks could still potentially get a top 2 dman with that 7th overall pick. Hanifin doesnt appear to be heading towards being a top 2 dman in the league but could be a solid top 4 guy.
