Update from today's Red Wings practice: Defenseman Mike Commodore is missing from practice. General manager Ken Holland said Commodore is day-to-day with a lower-body injury.

Defenseman Brad Stuart (groin) is on the ice, as is forward Danny Cleary (upper body). Cleary is wearing gray, indicating no contact. Neither will play the rest of the preseason, but both are expected to be ready to go Oct. 7 in the home opener against Ottawa.
