Return of Chris Mason pleases Predators goaltending coach Mitch Korn
One of the vacancies the Nashville Predators had on their roster heading into Sunday’s start of free agency was filled when the team brought goaltender Chris Mason back into the fold by signing him to a one-year deal.
Mason, who has played parts of six seasons in Nashville, will return to the Predators after tours of duty in St. Louis, Atlanta, and Winnipeg.
Attending the final day of the Predators' Development camp, Mitch Korn, Nashville’s goaltending coach, was happy to have Mason back under his tutelage.
“The fear of the unknown is always worse than the fear of the known,” Korn said. “We know Chris Mason and Chris Mason knows us. Everybody knows what to expect. At the end of the day, I think it will be a very smooth transition and everybody will be happy.”
