I absolutely consider D. Johnson the starter with CJ coming in to spell him. I see Ellington more as a change of pace back at this point. Still not a bad problem to have.True, but that was before D Johnson got a chance to shine as a rookie and there were questions about CJ after being shot and getting up there in football years.
I hope you're right though. Ellington was a great receiving back coming out of the backfield. I"m not sure he blocks as well as the other two guys though?
