He's talking a big game and after his comments blaming the OL last year for his lack of performance, it's time to put up or shut up. Walking up to the line, trying to east-west then falling down when the first defender gets near him is going to get real old, real quick this season. I was all in favor of releasing him but a 2,000 yard season could be the difference we need to make the playoffs.

GOD I HOPE chris johnson has a good year I drafted him a little high in my FF league. Whats in the back of my mind is that last year you guys didnt give him 300 carries and signing shone greene that would give him even less carries and take away TDs from him.

so whats going on with Johnson do you guys think he will get 15 carries a game?

Everything I hear is that the Titans will have one of the best, if not the best, OL in the AFC South. If that proves true and Jake Locker can have a respectable passing game, look for Chris Johnson to go for 2,000 yards.

well from my understanding of Chris Johnsons game doesnt he get most his yards by getting pitched the ball in the open field and using his quickness to dodge defenders and sprint for TDs. Shone Greene was brought in to run inbetween tackles and get the muscle yards

I think he is all downhill from here, but I guess you can't get worse than last year.

I would pick him up for a RB in 2nd or 3rd slot and hope for a beastly season

I think Chris Johnson is going to have a great year. Last year I had him in my FF league..he really screwed me over. This year he sounds motivated, wish I had in my FF league this year, but I got aced out.

OL looked good in the preseason game, I know its preseason, but still, I like what I saw.

Yes, he relies entirely on a.) superb blocking and b.) his quickness to explode through the hole or run to the edge and then hit overdrive.

I can't begin to tell you how frustrated Titans fans were least year by his lack of production.

And every year there is the hope by some of his fans that he will again produce like he did his first years in the league. Every year he seems motivated to gain 2000 yds. And each successive year his production drops. A running back needs a whole lot of " take it too the house" moments to justify a disproportionate number of no gain carries whch lead to stalled 3 and outs. Consistency can not be ignored as a more valuable asset in football. Building a team around the talents of a running back not named Peterson is a fools errand.

So CJ is running his mouth about the Titans? :rolleyes2:

"When I was in Tennessee, a lot of the plays when the offensive coordinator was calling them, they were predictable," Johnson told ESPN.com on Wednesday. "Everybody could tell what was coming."

Absolutely right. The ball was snapped, handed off to CJ, he ran up to the line of scrimmage and collapsed. It became very predictable!
