The sample size police will find you and do terrible things to you
ok, well...

career in the whitesox system kopech has a 3.25 ERA and has fanned 183 in 143 IP

moncada just flat out sucks and will never be a regular major leaguer. they get desperate and say "but paul konerko".

moncada is undisciplined and live son twinkies. he eats like 20 a day...still.

When you compare Yoan Moncada's career start to Paul Konerko's, it's a little easier to relax

this makes no sense, because they dont even compare lol

the above fascinates me

konerko - 13th overall pick
half the k's
half the walks

different positions. different swings. different...everything?

Yoan was near the top of the MLB in exit velocity last I checked after the first 10 days of the season or so. His luck was laughably bad. Couldn't be less worried about the guy. lol. Not every highly touted prospect is going to come storming into the league like Trout or Hoskins.

The ability couldn't be more evident. Just a matter of putting it together consistently.

I post on a separate White Sox forum and the whole thing with Moncada is hilarious. People worried about Moncada literally use every AB he doesn't get onto to bash the guy. People infatuated with him use every AB he gets a hit to praise him. It's utter chaos. lol. Let him have a full season sample size of AB's, for goodness sake. Let's also let the young Cuban get out of the 30 degree, snowy weather.

The good thing about Moncadas disappointing play is that nobody is watching.

and why should that matter?

because hard contact is more likely to result in hits and home runs?

we all know if Moncada was still in Boston, rock would be telling us he's still only 22 and it's way too early to declare him a bust. lmao.

Because hitting the ball hard consistently is... gee... I don't know... kind of important towards getting hits consistently. lol

Just like the last two days. Where he's now 4 for 6 with 2 HR's 6 RBI's and 2 SB's.

He's on pace for like a 7 fWAR now.

He's having a fantastic start to the season. He's a monster.

as I said before to me it;s a pointless espn stat. I get where you two are coming from but I'll take the tradition numbers as indicators of the quality of a player. Haha/// He might, he just might

You're being intentionally dense. There is zero way that you do not understand why hitting the ball hard is important in baseball. Lol

It's not an ESPN stat. Lol. Scouts use it at every level.

This is an absurd conversation.

Hard hit balls = Hits... if you keep hitting the ball hard. Results will come. This is little league shit.

I just find exit velocity a stupid "stat" that's all. Obviously if you hit it hard the chances of you getting a hit are greater!
