the good news is he came to us for less money than he could have received elsewhere.

nothing is wrong. he didn't fit Chip Kelly's desire for big corners and Pitt rarely lets new players play there first year. he is basically a nickel corner and if u leave him there he will be fine. I wouldn't read to much into Philly nor Pit.
Yeah, I think he's going to be a better fit here. I think Benwekire may be spending more time outside, if Boykin ca adapt.

Yes, $894,000, but that's on a 1-year. Downside to that is he gets more expensive after a good year - that's what happened with Munnerlyn.

BTW, this is a pretty comprehensive look at players that may be available to CAR in the draft: Panthers in good spot for best-available philosophy in draft

I'm not real high on this Derrick Henry talk. Bama RB's benefit from their big line, some are less effective in The League.
I do think we need to draft a running back though. Panthers seem to not be that high on Cameron Artis Payne. No P.T. last year. Not sure if is his pass blocking or what.

The pluses I see in this are that with a strong rotation we will be less tired at the end of the game. This was an issue a few times next year. Also I think they know they are going to have to give Short a big number for his contract extension. They would have to resign Star after this year and now if Butler pays off they can let Star go if his contract numbers are too high.
I agree with you @GoldenSpur
I was surprised as I thought we were good at D Tackle, but he was very good value at #30. The talking heads will down grade us though because this was not a position of need.

2nd pick, James Bradberry from Samford (???). 2016 NFL Draft Profile: James Bradberry

They broke him down on the show, though, he's 6'0", 211, runs a 4.45 36-inch vertical, has the measurables. Just raw, and hasn't gone against top competition. With our situation at CB, though, he will, brothers. He will. :hope:

Bold: yes, we cut Dwan Edwards, needed to keep that rotation strong in the interior. Strength of the panthers D is that middle 3 with the DT's and luke. I also agree he was the best value pick, DG pulled the trigger, gotta hope it works out for the best.

As a Clemson homer, I was disappointed they didn't pick up Alexander.

"Riverboat Ron" was at the Kentucky Derby Saturday. I'm sure he won some undisclosed cash.
