Well, that was the end of the regular season for us pretty much.

I can't complain about it, we did way better than any of us could have expected. Our defense is insane, and we found out that the offense is only a QB away from the playoffs.

So, where do we go to find that QB? Any ideas?

Cutler seems the only feasible option. We can complain about his baggage, but if we want to stick with the usual, then 2015 is another guaranteed wasted year.

That draft pick they gave away for Watkins should would be nice next year. Oh well.

Cutler is an option. Maybe RG3. Isnt Russell Wilson a RFA we might be able to offer enough where Seattle would let him go because they have to pay their defense. I wonder what Wilson can do with an actual WR corps.

Johnson the 1st rounder would be nice but it will probably end up being in the 12-16 range and you are probably not getting a Franchise QB this year in that range. The Watkins deal was a good deal and if you want me to go though all the reasons why I can.

No need. Time will tell, but so far I have plenty of reason to think Watkins was a bad decision.

I'd take RG3 too. Seattle won't let Russell Wilson go and RW won't want to leave. He's a system QB. He's not an elite passer and if expected to be a pocket passer, we will be disappointed. I don't see the Bills adopting SEA system so why bother?

Cutler would be a HUGE waste of money. I'd rather go with Orton again. There's no first round QB anyway, so getting Watkins is more than fine by me. We need to draft Guards. Pears is terrible, and Urbik is slow.

Make no mistake, we're better off going with Orton than overpaying fir Cutler or RG3. Two terrible locker room presences and two big wasted contracts.

Maybe there's a diamond in the rough for a mid-round QB....finding him is another story.

At some point, the Bills are going to have to overpay (or pay) for proven, quality players for QB and coaches. They have gone cheap and unproven forever on the two most important position in the game for too long.

They can stick with Orton and remain out of the playoffs. I"m sure they will.

What has Cutler done? Besides lead the league in INT?

I really like Marrone.

Marrone is a great coach.

And you have to keep in mind, this is the first off-season with the Pegula's as the owners. We have no clue what to expect this off-season.

Cutler has thrown 28 TDs this year. He is a legitimate NFL starter. He has issues, but he is an obvious upgrade to the slew of turds the Bills have had back there for over a decade.

He's not Brady, Manning, Brees, or Rodgers...but he's sure as heck better than Losman, Manuel, Orton, Tuel, Johnson, etc. etc. etc.

It'd be nice to finally go into a season with an actual, verifiable QB.

If they can get someone better, I'm all for it. I am not for doing nothing and conceding the season with a joke QB for the 13th year in a row.

If we take Cutler we better grab a QB in the mid rounds in case he sucks

Cutler has the tools, but he is not there mentally.

Garrett Grayson from Colorado State is a good sleeper prospect we could pursue in the 3rd round

Definitely grab a QB in the later rounds to develop if they get Culter. I'd rather see the Bills do that then bust their entire draft taking some turd in the first round.

Not sure Orton's plans, but he could stay on as a backup. He'd be a great one.

As far as Marrone goes I think with everything that has gone on this year for this team is be atleast .500 is impressive and he deserves another year. I see progress and that is not something I have seen in about ten years.

I agree about Cutler he is better than Orton or whoever junk pile QB you can get. You cant go back to Manuel, I would keep him around because 1. you never know and it usually takes mobile QBs more time to develop 2. he has starting experience and every team needs a QB.

I think we need to concentrate on the Guard position and more LBs in the draft. No first rounder will hurt but you can get quality guys in the Second for example Kiko, Glenn and Woods were all second rounders. I think Whaley brings a certain amount of credibility to our team for FA as well and hopefully we can get past the overpaying for average players.

You really don't want Cutler. He's way too mecurical for a team like the Bills. When he's good and on target he is great, when he's got an issue or off a bit, he sucks. The smart move is to wait until the draft, see who's picking where and see if the early pickers really need a QB. Then strike. Offer the 2hd rounder this year and next year's #1 and take the kid from Oregon. He's big, fast and smart. Exactly what the Bills need to be contenders next year. The Raiders will have the first pick and the Jets the second. You'll need to convince the Raiders to trade because the Jets will take the Heisman winner.

The very last thing the Bills need is a starting rookie QB.

Cutler also throws a ton of picks. He's a headache in the locker room. He doesn't get along with any of his coaches. He doesn't take his teams to the playoffs. He's a HUGE hit in the wallet that would definitely weaken the team around him. I would much rather Orton than Cutler...much, much more.
