Great coach and great man. I had the privilege of meeting him once at a charity event that I was working. I am biased, but I think he's the greatest coach to never win it all.

I always thought Grant got a bad rap for not winning it. I guess Marv Levy can attest to that too but Grant was a good coach and his teams were very good. He happened to coach in a very competitive era where more than a few teams were exceptional year in and year out. He had great defensive teams, most people don't even talk about.
I hope he was satisfied.

Yup, the Vikings ran into three teams that were as good as it gets during the 70’s…..Dolphins, Steelers & Raiders…..and were upset by the Chiefs…..not an easy task

Back when the Vikings played football like men in subfreezing temps with the Purple People Eaters

One of the best teams never to win it IMO

An era of great coaches & great teams and he was clearly one of them. On top of that a life well lived. This Cowboys fan bows in respect.

Yep, RIP coach. One of the best ever to roam the sideline. Wish he could have just won 1 SB. As said though, had the misfortune of running into some damn good teams.
