Why would they ever think about this? He is not worthy of a 2nd round pick and they have Weeden who they wanna stick with.

I'm not sure if Weeden is their guy or not, this management didn't draft him. I'm not sure that the Browns don't take a QB in the draft but to get Mallett doesn't figure. I would just as soon have the Browns fill holes they have, go with Weeden and see how he does with Turner as his OC. Browns need a rusher from the outside, CB to go with Haden, TE that can work the middle of the field and catch and depth. 3 starters would be nice but without the 2nd rounder, that is hard. That is why, trading down sort of makes sense depending on what they get.

I like the pick myself . they are depending on the pass rush to get there . if the pass rush isn't ineffective the Browns are in deep shit as we need a CB / Safety / CB still .

they cant fix everything in one year but they didnt sign a safety & the only CB they signed Barnes has been a total bust . he might play ST ? I wouldn't want him in coverage .

we don't have a second round pick . maybe Jabaal Sheard packs his bags today and heads to a 43 team for a second round pick ?

BPP I love your AV . is that Dicky Post #22 for the Rams . I think it is . that was when football was real . you could actually hit someone . the Rams were on late .i caught quite a few Rams games as a kid after my beloved Browns played . i have a friend of mine who is still a die hard Rams fan .

Good luck this year my friend .

bluez the Browns made a great pick in the 1st round. Rushing the passer is so huge and I agree a CB and safety is also needed. I want to see how Weeden does with a great OC in Turner and not waste a pick on a QB early. Now picking on later in the draft to compete and hold the clipboard and learn from Turner, that makes sense.

As for my avatat, lost everything over a SeeBS so I went with my favorite Rams player growing up, a little fullback/halfback named Dick Bass. He played for the Rams from 1960 to 1969. Starting to age myself.

Separate subject because I can't help myself, Fisher going up and picking Tevon Austin for the Rams is huge for us. In the same division with the 49ers and Seahawks we have to score and this guy can take it to the house on any touch:10::thumb::whoo:

Browns are going to have a solid defense next year. Get somebody to help out the secondary and then maybe add a finesee player to help out Weeden and Richardson.

Yeah need to sure up the secondary a bit, but that front 7 is legit.

I think they need a speed/slot guy bc they have talent on O. Rich, Gordon, Little, then Cameron is a young stud. I forgot about Benjamin, he is the speed/slot guy---just don't know how good of a WR he is, more of a Cribvs type player.

Yep. We can tell the Browns hate this draft class and I don't blame em.

They traded a 4th for a 3rd next yr and a 5th for a 4th next yr. You never know they could get some gems in their last 3 pick---1 in 6th and 2 in 7th

Well I hope next years class is a good one. Can't say I like the strategy of basically trading out of the rest of this draft but, then again, Rome wasn't built in a day.
