With a football score at the top of the 8th, there is the proverbial snowball's chance in hell we win this one as we go screaming headlong into .500 W-L record. I sincerely believe we will continue to lose to the point we end-up in the cellar of teh NL East with Flex looking like the complete idiot that he is.

I’m surely no expert but it seems no player knows what his role is. Kapler’s lineups blow. I think it should be for example, Cesar, Kingery, Herrera, then Hoskins, Franco, Alfaro, Santana or Cozens, JP, Kraut in there some where depending on pitching. Not in that exact order but with the middle loaded with the power.

It’s still odd that the players are not hitting. There’s no answer to that. Pretty soon, Klentak might suggest a dumpster dive. LOL! I guess Kratzie is glad he got traded out.

Phillies rarely have more than 6 hits in a game. Now the pitching is going downhill. Flex has lost control. This is perplexing

Hoskins hits ground ball. Error allows Hernandez to score. This only happens when contact is made. Mostly, the Phillies just strike out with runners on base. Putting the ball in play works better than always swinging for the moon and striking out!

That's exactly the problem. Phils have eight guys or so who are adjusting and learning to hit MLB pitching. I expected half these seemingly talented players would make an immediate impact ala Rollins, Utley, and Howard 10 years ago.

Then, guys with varying degrees of experience are inconsistent. Hernandez and Herrera got off to great starts but tailed off; Franco and Santana started slow and are only slowly gaining. Altherr has has been stuck in a sub-.200 area forever.

Only thing we can do is hope we stay within reach of the top spot and I think we can do that since pitching is doing reasonably well.

Wonders never cease. We eek out a win over the Brew Crew and get out of town hopefully with some sort of momentum. Any will help.
