Seranthony and Hector nail it down for Pivetta, now 4-2, 3.23! Amazing throws by Jorge to first on bunts in front of the plate to wipe out potential singles in late innings.

I don't think any of our previous catchers could have made those two plays Alfaro made yesterday. For a big guy, he moves quicky in picking up the ball and making bullet throws to first base. Plus he's .255/.313, 5th on the Phils, after his slow start. He'll impprove further when he cuts down on that 40% K rate.

McCarthy has a 5.05 ERA but the Phils can’t beat this guy.

It seems Hoskams is totally lost at this point, though .237/.373 isn't anywhere near full tard. Former Fraudco is now up to .259 but only .291 OBP.
