Yea like allow the teams to put in manufacturer-specific engines instead of just different heads and let the teams run whatever tires they want like they do in the ARCA series.

You mean like different displacements and such? Because the blocks are manufacturer specific. They're all designed by the manufacturer and each have slightly different design features (water passages for example) but still have to meet the displacement and compression ratio guidelines set by NASCAR

I'm sure that this has already been said but I really enjoyed the old school announcers last night. I wish that they could replace those schmucks in the FOX booth.

From what I did get to see of the race, the old school was awesome! Awesomely bad. And I loved it!
