I think he'll be fine. Takes time for some of the centers who have never done an actual exchange on the snap in college, plus he missed all the off-season stuff from surgery.

While overreacting is pretty stupid given that they barely started practicing, I think this is an issue with drafting lineman these days. The college game and pro game are so damn different it's hard for me to see how you can count on a rookie. The snap is only one thing that will be different for Price than his responsibilities in college. It's like learning a whole new position. I hope he does well - and soon - But I think it's becoming increasingly difficult to make the transition.

It's pretty clear what happened. He was a tremendous athlete until he heard the words, "the Cincinnati Bengals select", followed by his name...

After that, he lost all confidence in himself, he realized he won't win another football game for a long time, and that his only hope was to fake an injury until he becomes a free agent.

I expect Price to struggle initially. He only played center for one season at Ohio State. In a shotgun offense that doesn’t translate to the NFL.

Long term he’ll be a good player. He was already better than Bodine the moment he walked in the building.
