You cannot move Whitworth from Guard... you cannot do it. Our running game is at another level with him there.

Agreed, get the best five on the field. Collins, whit, cook (?), Zietler (when healthy) and smith

Rivers has completed 71% of his passes this year, at an 8.4/att clip. We gave him 62% and 6.8/att....that's a helluva performance again by our defense.

On the road, too.

This defense just keeps finding ways to get it down.

Thankfully, Gruden went back to running the ball in the 4th. THough, the big pass to Green was really nice, even though he should have gone down in bounds to keep the clock running.

The OL and BE and Gio deserve a ton of credit. They put their stamp on this game.

Even Dalton played better in the second half.....not sure I would call it good Andy, but he did make a couple of needed throws.

and whitworth's performance at guard just shows how important the interior line is, which is a concept the Bengals will never understand.

Our starting left tackle just may be the NFL's best left guard.

this is a concept the Bengals FO has struggled with for a long time. It's why some teams can just plug a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th string rb in and he'll run for 100+ yards and a TD, but if we had to rely on Cedric Peerman or Burkhead they would get killed, or we'd end up passing the ball the whole game.

sorry, but they will Move Whitworth back and you all know it, they will blame the Chargers DL

Well, Boling appears to be out for the year. If that's true, they may have no choice but to leave Whit at guard. Too bad.....lol.....

I don't think our coaching staff is smart enough to realize that Whit at guard was the key to opening up the running game.

I guess there's always the possibility they won't have another semi-logical option.

Actually, not to rain on this parade, if Zeitler comes back, Pollack will most likley get the start at guard, moving Whit back to LT.

interesting quote from whit:

Said Whitworth about playing left guard: “You hate to see a guy go down (like Clint Boling did in the first quarter) but I get fired up to play inside. AC is a more than capable left tackle and he is able to step in. I love to be a tone setter inside.”

Now that he has been paid, he can say this stuff, because the LT's get the big pay days, not typically the LG's.
