I had always found it odd that Apple had never ventured into the gaming market to compete with the likes of Microsoft and Sony.

Apple would patent the original IBM PC if they thought they could win a lawsuit or two doing so.
probably because when all is said and done the console would be bulletproof and cost $5,000
and a new system would be out every year like clockwork.
Until you notice that the old one stops working after about 18 monthsAnd the improvements would be minuscule and not worth upgrading to.

Why do you think it's hate. Are Apple products over priced for the hardware components they contain? Yes. But Microsoft software is over priced too. Good to see MS at least giving consumers a break on the new Windows 8 but I'll not buy it because I don't like it for desktops. Now if I should decided to buy a MS Surface I'll have no choice. I just call them as I see them.
i really wish they would let me install linux @ work
I'm hoping Ubuntu/Linux gets a fix for the dual boot with Windows 8 on UEFI. Last I read they were close to it.

Ask them if you can bring your own keyboard. If they say yes get this:
PC-in-a-Keyboard Comes with Ubuntu Linux Preloaded | PCWorld Business Center
unfortunately i don't think our software will run on it......and if it does i know that we would lose our tech support
but that is quite fantastic
