Old Duke - Not gonna happen.....I believe we will select a WR in rds 4-7 look for a small school guy with huge upside, or a big school player that wasn't utilized to his ability but shows huge potential.
We need QB, ILB, CB, CB(that is right 2) and a Safety not to mention an O-linemen or two before we look to select a WR.
Some Wr's I like as mid rounders ...Titus Davis Central Michigan, Dezmin Lewis Central Arkansas, Antwan Goodley Baylor, Rannell Hall UCF, Kasen Williams Washington(Would have been a high pick had he not gotten hurt) Josh Harper Fresno State, DeAndre Smelter GT
I agree with your assessment. I'm thinking if Chip gets what he wants in free agency, then he could get a WR with speed and size, and explosiveness. That's Coates. Yes, I have a man-crush on him.
Reality says what you say, and if he gets a chance to grab his QB of the future, then that's
what he will do. I think he does need to shore up the secondary, and he can do it in free agency.
Billy Davis can get the job done with even a little improvement at CB and S. Besides getting a QB and WR, the other picks in the draft can get us a solid ILB, and OL. Good scouting can come up with some gems, ala Beau Allen. A 7th rounder? Really? How could he last past the 4th round with that size and quickness? Good scouting.
I'm with you, but really would like to fill the holes in FA, and still come up with Petty and Coates!
I'm drooling, Man!
I had bryant as my best WR option for us last year. In fact I rated him behind only sammy watkins. Huff seems to not give a damn about anything. His attitude is shitty and chip is too close to the kid to see it.
The APB worked! We found Huff! 2 plays, and 2 bad errors!
Really Chip? You wanted to draft him in the 2nd round, but Howie told you to wait until the 3rd to draft him. I hope the kid makes it, but I fear that he is just a dumb bell. I hope I have to eat my words, but he usually finds a way to goof up.
Huff is a frustrating player for sure. That catch and run of his was impressive. But that opening turnover was a killer. I am still not sure if it was his fault or Brad Smith's. But it was extremely costly.
Huff is fine. He was hurt this year and is somewhat behind. As far as the Kick off goes that is more Smith but a learning experience on communication. He does have a return for a touchdown this year so he has all the potential and I hope the evolves. I would take him over Cooper right now.
