I have no idea.
But if I know GM, it'll be $1400 dollars

then your fuel pump will go out.
then something else.

It's something simple. Research it and fix it yourself.

Always check the cruise control fluid level first.
Then go from there.

I don't mean to be a smart ass, but you have you checked the fuse box?

If the fuse is good, my second guess would be the brake switch. Its a switch that tells the cruise control that you have applied the breaks. If everything seems to work on the cruise control, except it won't take a set speed and hold it (i.e everything else seems to function and illuminate correctly).... its typically the brake light switch. should cost less than 50 bucks.

I will bet this is it....

2010 Cadillac Escalade Brake Light Switch - ACDelco D1539J | StockWiseAuto

sometimes you can test it... if while driving you coast for a second and pull back on the gas pedal with your foot/shoe.... if you can set the cruise control WHILE you are doing this, its definitely the brake switch... but sometimes even if that doesn't work, its still the brake switch.

hope that helps.

^ Holy shit. The cruise is like the last thing I have to fix on the Waggy. I bet it's the brake switch or I blew some fuse when I put the new blinker turn signal thingy on.

That's good shit right there. I was thinking of tearing into the cable connection into the tranny and all that.

Cruise control fluid level????????

It's definitely worth checking out. When the sunroof on my car messed up I figured it'd be expensive as shit to fix, turns out the sunroof fluid was just low.

it might be the motion restabilizer sensor.
sometimes they get dirt on them and cant "see" how fast it's going and shuts the whole thing down.

it's usually on the underside of the unit, right next to the detachable panhard bar.

One other thing I have seen fuck up a cruise control besides the brake light switch, is LED brake lights. If you have LED brake lights (aftermarket) try putting the standard ones in and see if that works. Has something too do with the load of the lights being to small for the computer to recognize or maybe the circuitry of the led driver causes and issue. Also, make sure your brake lights actually work....

My 1989 Grand Wagoneer would reject LED brake lights the way the Ark of the Covenant burned the swaztika off its crate in Raiders of the Lost Ark.

My buddy put them in his corvette, and they would flicker if he was going over about 60 mph.

It was like a signal to the police when he got up to speed..... look at me, look at me... lol
