Game Thread: ALCS Game Five, Red Sox At Tigers, October 17, 2013

We can make it 2 out of 3 in Detroit in the game starting at 8:00 PM.

Starting for the opposition will be Anibal Sanchez, who did look good in his previous start against us,
but has yet to convince me he can do it more than once against our lineup.

Starting for the good guys will be Jonathan Tyler Lester, who has proven to my satisfaction hat he can do it
more than once and will have a revenge factor going for him tonight.

Why Cabrera wasn't stopped at 3d I don't know, but suspect Tiger fans are ticked at their 3B coach right now.

Turns out Cabrera ran through the stop sign. So the out is his fault rather than the coach's.

But also the 3rd base coach started waving him and then when he saw Gomes got the ball he tried to stop him and Cabrera had his head down. I would put the blame on both, the 3rd base coach should have known who he had running and should have held the stop sign first and then if Gomes had problems with the ball send him or at least get him halfway.

Also the bats for the Red Sox woke up!

A better inning for Lester in the 2nd. And Johnny Gomes makes a pretty good defensive play to save an extra base hit. Keep it up Sox!
