Well, the money is better than the Independant League. I can't imagine playing in Asia, much less eating there full time. There will be a thousand surprizes for Adelman I imagine. Maybe scouting report info might be tougher because if language, and hitters mostly look like each other...then again, in an environment where shaking off a sign is seen as disrespectful, knowing hitters may not be a consideration. Mound visits could be befuddling. I think I would rather consider coaching at Apple Pie Junior College. It's not a pro salary, but not a bad quality of life.

Apple Pie is a bad gig.
I know a guy who played there -- Granville "Granny" Smith -- he was rotten to the core.

A coach named McIntosh was suspended from there for juicing. The program has been better since they hired Musselman to manage them. Keeps the players off the sauce now at least.

I wouldn't want to be on the Korean peninsula regardless of salary.

A long one off the Addy and the N. Koreans might interpret it as incoming.

I guess it's about what you get used to...Koreans probably think kimchi smells good, because the entire country smells like it. I've been told they think American's smell like butter, whatever that smells like. Maybe we can become nose blind to the way Reds pitching smells this year.

My uncle, who was a hog farmer, said pig lots smelled like money.

Looks like some kind of pasta mixed with spinach with sauce. BUT then who knows what's in it.

Eric Thames played over there, and He said he really liked the culture. I think it all depends on how you fit in to a different life stile. I believe they, South Koreans are mostly western in culture, but probably if you got to far from the cities you would find just about anything. Then again I've never been there, so

Most people I know who have seen Korea are either 86 years old or are still in their 20s.
Obviously the different groups were there for different reasons.
